Convert 'em or Kill 'em How Christian.

Seriously. There's a game out there where Christians have to convert or kill Muslims and Jews... And our friends at Walmart think it's just fine to sell it. How Christain like... Thanks to America Blog for the contact info for the Walmart Rep:

Another Dem Wins in Texas!

Sweet. Getting a little bit bluer:

U.S. Rep. Henry Bonilla lost Bexar County for the first time in his
political career Tuesday night, and trailed Democrat Ciro Rodriguez in total
votes in the sprawling Congressional District 23.

No Way and we're not Mean...

Pelosi made sure Jefferson stays off the Ways and Means committee. This guy is a total disgrace and he needs to step down for the sake of the party. Seriously. He's a Pariah.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- House Democrats, insistent that they will hold lawmakers
to higher standards, decided Tuesday that Rep.
William Jefferson
will not return to an influential committee until a
federal corruption investigation involving him is completed.
Speaker-to-be
Nancy Pelosi said the Democratic Steering Committee had resolved that Jefferson,
who last Saturday won a runoff election in his New Orleans district, will not be
given back his spot on the Ways and Means Committee, the panel that determines
tax and trade policies.

Rahm Didn't Know...

Rahm Emanuel didn't know jack about the Foley emails. This guy is a pitt bull and if knew about them he sure as hell would have used this information to destroy as many Republicans as possible. Talk about the media grasping for Democratic scandal when it's the Reupublicans who have their hands dirty by being in bed with and protecting a child molester. I smell Rove all over this story.

How much did Rahm Emanuel know about disgraced Rep. Mark Foley's e-mails to
a former House page? In an Oct. 8 interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos,
Emanuel, a Democratic congressman from Illinois, was asked if he or his staff
knew anything about the e-mails or instant messages between Foley and former
pages "before they came out." "No - Never saw them," Emanuel said.

Great Use of Tax Payer Dollars...

Rummy makes a trip to Iraq on our dime. And I know this little waste of money is coming out of my wallet because I don't make enough money to qualify for the Repubs last minute tax cut for the wealthy. Fiscally responsible my ass!

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- With only nine days left on his job, Defense
Secretary Donald Rumsfeld
made an unannounced appearance in Iraq on Saturday to say farewell to U.S. troops, a Defense Department spokesman said.

Great Lady...

Eight years after losing her son to a hate crime, Matthew Shepard’s mother is fighting harder than ever for gay rights.

Which brings me to the charity of the day: http://www.matthewshepard.org/site/PageServer

Truthiness

Nice:

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts (AP) -- After 12 months of naked partisanship on Capitol Hill, on cable TV and in the blogosphere, the word of the year for 2006 is ... "truthiness."
The word -- if one can call it that -- best summed up 2006, according to an online survey by dictionary publisher Merriam-Webster.

Impeachment Bill Introduced...

It's largely symbolic and has no chance of passing with the lame duck Repubs still in session but Rep. McKinney introduces a bill to impeach President Bush... Nice parting shot.

In what was likely her final legislative act in Congress, outgoing Georgia
Rep. Cynthia McKinney
announced a bill Friday to impeach President Bush.
The
legislation has no chance of passing and serves as a symbolic parting shot not
only at Bush but also at Democratic leaders. Incoming House Speaker Nancy
Pelosi, D-California, has made clear that she will not entertain proposals to
sanction Bush and has warned the liberal wing of her party against making
political hay of impeachment.

Nothing short of criminal

You might as well dress the ethics committee in Cardinal Robes.

No one will be reprimanded, the panel said.

Al Gore will help me!

Oh my! This lady has a really tough job:

Leslie Sloane, Lindsay’s rep, is not commenting on the matter.

Good news... I hope.

Well this is a promising step in the right direction...

By the 2008 presidential election, voters around the country are likely to see sweeping changes in how they cast their ballots and how those ballots are counted, including an end to the use of most electronic voting machines without a paper trail, federal voting officials and legislators say.

Support My Blog

And a Charity...

A nice Texas charity:

www.riverwalkjazz.org

Arrrggghhhh! TEXAS.

Sometimes I'm so very embarassed to say I live in this state. For those that read this blog outside of Texas please note that we're not all THIS ignorant!

KATY, Texas - A plan to build a mosque in this Houston suburb has triggered
a neighborhood dispute, with community members warning the place will become a
terrorist hotbed and one man threatening to hold pig races on Fridays just to
offend the Muslims.

Now I don't often feel the need to throw someone under the bus so to speak but this idiot deserves it so here ya go:

His email address (feel free to send him a reminder that he's a biggot): cbmci@craigbakermarble.com

and his company's toll free number: 1- 800- 334- 4359

Rummy is Having a Bad Couple of Months...

And it makes me happy. I'm not saying I wish personal anguish upon anyone but ya know this guy walked all over the Constitution so it's about time the Constitution put on its boots and started walkin' back over those who trampled on it for their own personal adgenda. A judge has approved detainee law suits against Rumsfeld.

On Friday, the U.S. District Court in Washington will be the scene of a
parting shot at outgoing Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld.

McCain Hires a Crook.

Do ya remember Terry Nelson? No - well he's just been hired as McCain's campaign manager and he was also an unindicted co-conspirator in all that DeLay business. I told you all before that McCain is no reasonable centrist. He's a right wing lackey!

Buh Bye to your 2008 hopes Mr. Frist.

And good riddance.

In the end, Senator Bill Frist found it easier to master the science of medicine rather than that of politics.
