Not that I am personally thrilled about this because I'd hate to see close friends go off to war but... Maybe with the prospect of the sons and daughters of America's elite going off to war we'd be more inclined to say... try diplomacy again! I've said it before and I'll say it again: When did diplomacy become a dirty word?
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The postelection debate over Iraq is intensifying as members of Congress from both parties pose remedies and the Bush administration hunts for answers.
Democratic Rep. Charles Rangel of New York proposed a military draft, which the administration has repeatedly said it doesn't need.
